معرفی
Feixia Chu is a Professor in the Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Biomedical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire (UNH). Her research focuses on using mass spectrometry to study protein assemblies and posttranslational modifications, particularly in chromatin dynamics and structural biology. She develops innovative techniques like chemical cross-linking combined with mass spectrometry to elucidate protein interactions and conformational changes.
Education: She holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of South Florida, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Wuhan University.
Research Interests: Her lab investigates molecular recognition in protein complexes, structural dynamics of chromatin, and the role of posttranslational modifications in epigenetic regulation. Techniques include cross-linking mass spectrometry, quantitative proteomics, and biochemical purification strategies for histone variants.
Publications: Over 40 peer-reviewed articles, including high-impact studies in Nature Communications, Cell, and Science Advances. Recent work addresses epichaperome networks in cellular adaptability and structural biology applications for SARS-CoV-2 proteomics.
Teaching: Courses include Principles of Biochemistry, Protein Structure & Function, and Molecular & Cellular Biology research seminars.
Labs/Teams: Her group integrates structural biology, proteomics, and biochemistry to tackle complex biological systems, with a focus on chromatin and protein complexes.
