Ryan Claycomb is a Professor of English and Theatre at Colorado State University (CSU), serving as Senior Associate Dean in the College of Liberal Arts (CLA). He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, College Park. His research focuses on performances of the real—exploring how theatre engages with real people, places, and events, addressing political, ethical, and formal dimensions. His 2023 book, In the Lurch: Verbatim Theater and the Crisis of Democratic Deliberation, examines the intersection of theatre and democratic discourse.
