Ruth Henry serves as Adjunct Professor and Chair of the Department of Kinesiology within Lipscomb University's College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, where she has taught undergraduate and graduate courses since 1992 with specialization in Biostatistics and Applied Exercise Physiology. Her deep institutional commitment spans from kindergarten through her current faculty role, reflecting lifelong dedication to Lipscomb's academic community.
Her educational foundation includes a B.S. in Elementary Education from Lipscomb University (1974), M.S. in Wellness and Fitness from Middle Tennessee State University (1992), and Doctor of Arts in Human Performance from Middle Tennessee State University (2000) with initial doctoral studies at Vanderbilt University.
Dr. Henry's research centers on applied exercise physiology and adult fitness, with scholarly contributions disseminated through publications and presentations at regional and national conferences. Her work integrates biostatistical methods with practical exercise science applications, emphasizing real-world health outcomes for adult populations.

Her community engagement extends to serving as pre-marriage mentors with her husband through Hillsboro Church of Christ, reflecting holistic commitment to student and community wellbeing beyond the classroom.
