Professor Ross Large AO is a Distinguished Professor of Geology at the University of Tasmania and the foundation Director of CODES, an ARC Centre of Excellence in Ore Deposits. He has made groundbreaking contributions to Economic Geology and Paleoceanography, linking trace element cycles in ancient oceans to mass extinction events and evolutionary shifts.
