William Ellis

William Ellis is an Associate Professor of Oceanography and Associate Director at the University of Maine's School of Marine Sciences. He manages daily operations of the School, serves as Undergraduate Program Coordinator, and advises first-year and transfer students. Ellis teaches introductory courses in marine science and chemistry. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island (1992) and an AB in Chemistry from Bowdoin College (1986).

Ellis's research focuses on chemical oceanography, atmospheric science, and marine biogeochemistry.
