Ross G Anderson is an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow's School of Law. He holds affiliations including Visiting Professor of Immovable Property Law at Jersey's Institute of Law and membership in the European Law Institute. A graduate of the University of Edinburgh (LLB, PhD), he previously worked at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law and practiced as a solicitor before joining academia.
His research focuses on Scots Commercial Law, private law, and European legal harmonization. Notable works include the 2022 edition of Scots Commercial Law and contributions to EU-UK legal relations post-Brexit. His publications address corporate insolvency, contractual principles, and property law.
Anderson has edited multiple legal statutes and commentaries, including volumes on the Unidroit Principles of International Commercial Contracts and Scots Commercial Law. His scholarship spans comparative law, legal history, and modern commercial practice.
