Dr. Roslyn M. Compton is an Associate Professor at the College of Nursing, University of Saskatchewan, where she has worked since 2017. Prior to this, she taught at Saskatchewan Polytechnic for a decade, following a 15-year clinical career in rural, remote, and community nursing across Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Canada. Her work emphasizes relational care, co-facilitating mentorship to advance nursing practices centered on older adults and their caregivers.

Her work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing social prescribing and community integration.
Grants: She has secured over $200,000 in grants since 2019 from agencies like the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation and Canadian Institutes of Health Research, supporting projects on LTC quality improvement, Nav-CARE volunteer programs, and interprofessional training.
Leadership: Roslyn founded initiatives like BetterLTC, the Saskatchewan Long-Term Care Network, and the Crossmount Memory Café. She serves on external committees for the Canadian Gerontological Nursing Association and Saskatoon Fire Services.
