Shelley Peacock is a Professor at the College of Nursing, University of Saskatchewan (USask), where she has served since 2011. She holds a PhD from the University of Alberta (2011) and prior degrees from USask: a BSN (2000), MN (2003). Her teaching spans foundational nursing skills in undergraduate programs and advanced qualitative methodologies in doctoral studies. Dr. Peacock’s research focuses on dementia care, family caregivers, and older adults, with notable projects like the Dementia Champions educational program and the Reclaiming Yourself intervention for bereaved spouses. She collaborates internationally and leads the Saskatchewan Caregiver Experience Study, exploring caregiver support priorities and technology’s role in aging populations. She co-chairs the Saskatoon Council on Aging’s Caregiver Committee and was honored with the 2020 Provost’s Award for Outstanding Teaching. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and community engagement to improve care quality for vulnerable elderly populations.
