Jocelyn Rempel is an Associate Professor and Chair in Older Adult Health at Mount Royal University (MRU). She has been teaching since 2006, specializing in Gerontological Nursing and Senior's Health. Her nursing background includes acute care, pediatrics, and oncology, with a focus on older adult care.
- Education: MN from Dalhousie University, BN from University of Calgary.
- Roles: Geriatric Nurse Consultant, Medical Member of Canada Pension Plan/Old Age Security Review Tribunals.
Her research focuses on Aging in Place, dispelling ageist views, and improving quality of life for older adults. She has developed gerontological curricula in MRU’s Nursing Program and built extensive community partnerships.
Recent work includes a 2020 presentation on interprofessional education for aging populations. She coordinates clinical placements and advocates for evidence-based elder care practices.
