Rose Hennessy Garza

Dr. Rose Hennessy Garza is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Joseph J Zilber School of Public Health, University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. A prevention scholar and implementation scientist, her expertise spans sexual violence prevention, women’s health, health disparities, and community-engaged research.

She employs mixed methods, participatory action research, and culturally responsive evaluation to address public health challenges. Her recent work focuses on campus sexual violence prevention, COPD research, and global health screening. As an educator, she teaches courses in epidemiology, health behavior theories, and program evaluation.
