Chibuzor Abasilim

Chibuzor Abasilim is an Assistant Professor at the Joseph J. Zilber College of Public Health, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He holds a PhD and MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) School of Public Health, where he also completed postdoctoral training in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences.

Research Interests

Dr. Abasilim’s research focuses on characterizing biomarkers of environmental exposures and their intersections with endogenous hormonal, genetic, and metabolic pathways in the development of chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease. His work emphasizes addressing health disparities in minoritized populations and analyzing occupational influences on health through surveillance systems.
