Rosario Hubert is an Associate Professor of Language and Culture Studies at Trinity College since 2014. Her work focuses on transnational literary analysis, cultural boundaries, and intersections between literature and visual arts. She holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University and a B.A. from Universidad de San Andrés (Argentina).
Her research emphasizes world literature's edges and surfaces across cultural divides, exemplified by her award-winning 2023 book Disoriented Disciplines, supported by NEH and ACLS fellowships. Current projects explore 'poetics of the inhospitable' and polar modernity.
Teaching specialties include literature, creative writing, and interdisciplinary approaches linking social, political, and linguistic dimensions. She has translated works by Brazilian and Chinese authors, advocating translation as a comparative tool. Previously taught at Harvard University and Universidad de San Andrés.
