Ron Tarver

Ron Tarver is an Associate Professor of Art at Swarthmore College, specializing in Photography, Photojournalism, Socially Engaged Art, and History of Photography. A Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer (2012, team reporting on school violence) and Guggenheim Fellow (2021), Tarver has spent over three decades documenting Black cowboy culture through his acclaimed project 'The Long Ride Home.'
