Crystal Z. Campbell (they/them) is a Visiting Associate Professor in the Department of Art at the University at Buffalo's College of Arts and Sciences. A multidisciplinary artist and experimental filmmaker of Black, Filipino, and Chinese heritage, Campbell investigates "public secrets"—socially obscured truths—through archives, employing film, installation, performance, and text. Their work has been exhibited globally at institutions including the Studio Museum of Harlem, SFMOMA, and ICA-Philadelphia.
