Roger Evans is an Adjunct Professor in Physiology at Monash University, affiliated with the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute and the Victorian Heart Institute. He holds editorial roles in major journals like Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and Physiology. His career spans over 30 years, including a PhD in Pharmacology (Monash, 1988) and roles as NHMRC Research Fellow (1997-2010).
Research focuses on renal physiology, hypertension, and critical care medicine. Notable areas include renal hypoxia in sepsis and cardiac surgery, oxygen transport mechanisms, and chronic disease control in rural India. His work contributes to UN SDGs related to health and sustainable development.
