MANUNTA PAOLO

Prof. Paolo Manunta is a Professor at the Department of Nephrology, University of Sassari, Italy. His research focuses on cardiovascular and renal physiology, hypertension mechanisms, and genetics of essential hypertension. He leads studies on renal vascular hypertension, pharmacogenomics, and endogenous Ouabaina’s role in hypertension. He teaches nephrology courses in the Medicine and Surgery program, supervising over 360 publications. Editorial roles include journals like Journal of Hypertension and Giornale Italiano di Nefrologia. He participates in the Biomedical Sciences doctoral college since 2014. His work integrates molecular, clinical, and epidemiological approaches, addressing aging-related frailty and renal disease progression.
