Robin L. Weltman

Dr. Robin L. Weltman is a Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Clinical Sciences at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, where she joined in May 2021. Previously, she served for 10 years as professor and program director of the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Dentistry at Houston.

As a board-certified periodontist and diplomate/examiner for the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Weltman specializes in periodontics with strong emphasis on dental education and clinical dentistry. Her research integrates clinical practice with educational methodologies, focusing on periodontal treatment protocols and mentorship frameworks for dental professionals.

She has received multiple internal and external teaching and mentorship awards recognizing her contributions to dental education.

Dr. Weltman has mentored eight junior faculty members and served on over 50 thesis committees, demonstrating significant commitment to academic development. Her scholarly output includes more than 40 peer-reviewed publications primarily in periodontics and dental education domains.
