Wenjian Zhang

Dr. Wenjian Zhang is an Associate Professor and Division Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at East Carolina University (ECU) School of Dental Medicine. Previously, she served as faculty at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. She holds a DDS from Xian Jiaotong University (China), MS in Oral Medicine from Wuhan University (China), and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Connecticut. Her research focuses on advanced dental imaging technologies like CBCT, with emphasis on clinical applications in periodontology, bone biology, and infection pathogenesis. She is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology and certified by the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology.
