Xiaoxi Cui

Xiaoxi Cui is a Clinical Associate Professor and Group Leader (GPG3) at the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. She holds board certifications in General Practice Residency Education and is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Her education includes a BDM (Bachelor of Dental Medicine) from Shandong University (2011), a master’s in periodontology from Peking University (2014), and a DDS from the University of Nebraska (2018), followed by a GPR residency at the University of Nevada Las Vegas.

Her research focuses on periodontal microbiology, clinical outcomes in periodontal maintenance, dental education methodologies, and workforce satisfaction in dental professions. Recent studies include investigations into microbiome analysis in periodontitis patients and correlations between drawing aptitude and manual skills in dental students.

Dr. Cui’s work bridges clinical practice and education, emphasizing evidence-based approaches to improve patient care and educational practices. She has contributed to over 6 peer-reviewed articles since 2017, exploring topics ranging from implantology to healthcare provider satisfaction.

Her academic contributions include leadership in the GPG3 research group and active participation in professional dental societies, reflecting her commitment to advancing both clinical and educational standards in dentistry.
