Mark Peacock is a Professor at Augusta University's Dental College of Georgia, holding dual appointments in the Departments of Periodontics and Oral Biology. A board-certified periodontist (Diplomate, American Board of Periodontology, 1994) and retired Colonel in the U.S. Army, he has maintained active academic and clinical roles since 1992. His expertise bridges periodontal disease management with systemic health connections.
- Education: MS in Oral Biology and Maxillofacial Pathology (1992), DMD in Dentistry (1982), BBA in Accounting (1977)
Research focuses on three core areas: (1) periodontal-systemic disease relationships, (2) clinical periodontics/oral medicine, and (3) oral implantology. Recent publications demonstrate clinical innovation in prosthetic rehabilitation, regenerative techniques, and nutritional interventions for periodontal patients.
