Roberto Sirvent is a Lecturer at Harvard University's Studies of Women, Gender, and Sexuality (WGS) program. His work bridges political theory, ethics, and social justice, focusing on race, law, and social movements. He holds a JD from the University of Maryland School of Law, an MA from Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD from the London School of Theology.

His research examines health injustices in prisons, migrant detention centers, and Latinx communities, with an emphasis on anti-Black racism, colonialism, and environmental crises. He develops community resources on education policy and mental health, and explores bioethics through frameworks like disability justice and queer liberation. Previously, he taught at Yale, Barnard, Pomona College, and Hope International University, where he led initiatives in bioethics and public health.
Roberto’s scholarship integrates Marxist, psychoanalytic, and anarchist theories to address systemic inequities. He has directed the Race, Bioethics, and Public Health Project at Yale and the Center for Public Leadership at HIU.
