Robert Riegler is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Economics at Aston Business School, part of Aston University's College of Business and Social Sciences. He specializes in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Trade, and Economics Education. Prior roles include positions at Coventry University and Nottingham Trent University. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham (2012) and a Mag. rer. soc. oec. from Vienna University of Economics and Business.
His research emphasizes applied economics with a focus on peer assessment mechanisms, group work dynamics, and technology-driven teaching. He has published widely on topics such as academic standards evaluation, robotic players in online games, and globalization's impact on labor markets. Riegler is also an Associate of the Economics Network and promotes innovative educational practices, including the integration of technology in teaching.
