Robert P. Watson is a Distinguished Professor of American History and Avron Fogelman Research Professor at Lynn University's College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis from Florida Atlantic University, with additional degrees from Virginia Tech and the University of West Florida. His research focuses on the American presidency, military history, and political scandals. Watson has authored over 45 books, including bestsellers like George Washington's Final Battle and The Nazi Titanic. He has received numerous awards for his scholarship and civic engagement, including the International Abraham Lincoln Award and multiple Lynn University faculty honors. Watson also leads initiatives like Project Civitas, promoting civic dialogue and historical literacy. His work bridges academia and public outreach, with frequent media appearances and lectures at museums and historic sites.
