Robert P. Robinson

Robert P. Robinson is an Assistant Professor of Africana Studies at John Jay College and Doctoral Faculty member in Urban Education and Interactive Technology & Pedagogy programs at The Graduate Center, CUNY. With 11 years of K-12 teaching experience prior to academia, his work bridges practical educational practice with critical theoretical frameworks.

Recent publications analyze abolitionist educational praxis, Black preservice teacher experiences, and the Oakland Community School's legacy. His upcoming book with NYU Press will expand the Black Panther Party's educational history. Scientific recognition includes:
