Charles E. Jones is a Professor at the University of Cincinnati, specializing in African-American studies. He has held academic roles at Old Dominion University and Georgia State University, where he developed programs in Black studies and served as founding chair of the Department of African-American Studies. His research focuses on the Black Panther Party and African-American political thought, with a forthcoming book on the Party's history. Jones is a board member of the National Council of Black Studies (NCBS) and has received numerous awards for his scholarship and service.
