Professor Robert Mull is affiliated with the Department of Architecture at the University of Brighton. He delivered an inaugural lecture titled Care: architecture, education and social responsibility on 22 November at the Sallis Benney Theatre (58–67 Grand Parade, Brighton BN2 0JY). His research explores the ethical and social responsibilities of architects and architectural education in contexts of urban change and deprivation.
Key research interests include socially engaged architectural projects in diverse global locations such as London, West Belfast, and India, as well as professional/ethical challenges arising from refugee crises in Europe—including work with the demolished Calais refugee camp ('The Jungle').
