Robert Magee is an Associate Professor of Integrated Marketing Communication at the University of Mississippi's School of Journalism and New Media. He holds a Ph.D. in Journalism from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (2006). His research focuses on persuasion, brand strategy, and international consumer behavior, examining how worldviews, values, and media influence consumer responses to marketing campaigns. He has also worked in media, executive education, and sales, and is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Portuguese.
Dr. Magee's research spans peer-reviewed journals such as Media Psychology, Marketing Letters, and Journal of Brand Management. He has received a top paper award from the AEJMC's Communication Technology division. His work explores topics like CSR advertising effectiveness, direct-to-consumer drug ads, and the role of color psychology in web advertising.
