Robert L. Lorber is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Management of the University of California, Davis, where he teaches courses on Leadership. He also holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Sociology from UC Davis. As CEO of The Lorber Kamai Consulting Group, founded in 1976, he advises Fortune 500 companies and family businesses on executive coaching, performance management, and strategic development across five continents.

His research focuses on leadership development, corporate culture, and transitional coaching for family businesses. He has authored or co-authored several books, including Putting The One Minute Manager To Work (with Ken Blanchard) and Doing What Matters (with Jim Kilts), blending organizational psychology with practical business strategies.
Dr. Lorber has served on numerous boards, including the UC Davis Foundation Board of Trustees, the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Graduate School of Management (past chairman), the UC Davis School of Medicine’s National Board of Advisors, and organizations like PRIDE Foundation and Tower Records. His consulting clients include Kraft Foods, Gillette, Pfizer, and Wells Fargo.
