Mickey Parsons

Mickey Parsons, Ph.D., is a Professor and faculty member at Life University's College of Graduate and Undergraduate Studies, where he coordinates the Master of Science in Positive/Coaching Psychology program and directs ICF coach education. His roles combine academic leadership with practical expertise in organizational development and executive coaching. Dr. Parsons holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (2016), a COPD in Organizational Development (2010), an MCC from Coach University (2007), and an MED in Educational Psychology (1994).

His research focuses on applying positive psychology principles to leadership development, workplace coaching, and organizational resilience. Notable areas include midlife executive coaching, generational team dynamics, and effective workplace communication strategies. He has authored/co-authored articles in Journal of Education and Social Science, Journal of Employee Assistance, and Men’s Health News.

Awarded as a Master Certified Coach (top 2% globally), Dr. Parsons has coached over 2,500 leaders across Fortune 500 companies and small businesses. His professional experience spans 25+ years in executive leadership and organizational consulting. He has developed curricula for leadership programs like 'Leader-As-Coach' and 'Executive Essentials,' emphasizing practical skill-building for managers and executives.

Parsons serves on multiple advisory boards, including California Southern University’s Education Leadership Committee and previously held leadership roles in the North Georgia Employee Assistance Professionals Association and Greater Atlanta Business Coalition. His outreach includes keynote presentations on topics like employee loyalty, cross-generational teamwork, and effective hiring practices.
