Robert J Wilkinson

Robert J Wilkinson is a Professor in Infectious Diseases at Imperial College London and Principal Group Leader at the Francis Crick Institute. He also serves as Honorary Professor at the University of Cape Town, where he directs the Centre for Infectious Diseases Research in Africa. His career spans roles at the MRC National Institute for Medical Research and leadership in TB research.

Recent publications analyze diabetes-TB interactions, cytokine response clusters, and vaccine efficacy in immunocompromised individuals.

His laboratory at the Crick Institute utilizes advanced facilities including Genomics, Flow Cytometry, and High-Throughput Screening, with collaborations spanning Case Western Reserve University, Imperial College, and University of Cape Town. He has contributed to over 450 publications on TB and co-infections.
