Robert Daniell is an Instructional Professor in the Department of Hospitality Management at Merrimack College. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee and M.S. and B.S. degrees from the University of Alabama. His research focuses on motivation in employment settings, destination image in tourism, and the creation of hospitality case studies. He teaches undergraduate courses in Hospitality Management, Organizational Behavior, and Technology Skills for Business.

Research Interests:
Daniell explores the role of motivation in hospitality employment, destination image in tourism offerings (including sport and family tourism), and the development of case studies reflective of real-world scenarios. His work bridges theoretical concepts with practical applications in hospitality operations and management.
Professional Experience:
Before academia, Daniell spent 20 years in the hospitality industry, including roles as a Subsistence Specialist in the U.S. Coast Guard, Food and Beverage Director at healthcare facilities, and Food and Beverage Controller for Hilton Hotels International. He is a certified ServSafe Food Safety Instructor/Proctor and holds the Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) credential.
