Robert Czernkowski

Robert Czernkowski is a Senior Lecturer in the Accounting Discipline Group at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Business School. His research focuses on information asymmetry, corporate governance, and audit practices. He holds a PhD from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) and has taught financial accounting and auditing at all academic levels.

• Information asymmetry in financial markets
• Audit partner effects in mergers & acquisitions
• Tax aggressiveness of financial institutions
• Sustainability reporting compliance
• Corporate governance guidelines

Funded Research: Investigated the role of common auditors in takeover advice (UTS Business School Grant, 2016).

Teaching: Specializes in financial accounting and auditing across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
