Prof Robert Caruana is a Professor of Marketing and Consumer Research at the University of Sussex Business School. His research focuses on corporate and consumer responsibility, ethical consumption, modern slavery, and marginalized stakeholders. He employs qualitative methods like discourse and narrative analysis to explore morality in markets.
Academic Background: PhD from the University of Nottingham (2002-2007). Previously held roles as Lecturer in Marketing at the University of Manchester (2006-2010) and Professor of Business Ethics at the University of Nottingham (2010-2023).
Research Interests: Explores moral dimensions of markets, corporate social responsibility communication, and ethical consumption. Current projects include modern slavery as a consumption issue and dialogical approaches to stakeholder engagement.
