Robert A. Nixon

Robert A. Nixon is Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania's Fels Institute of Government, where he teaches government relations and serves as capstone advisor. Concurrently, he maintains his role as founder and president of State House Strategies, a New Jersey government affairs firm, and directs government affairs for the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association. His professional background includes extensive legislative strategy development and campaign management for congressional and state races.

Nixon's instructional focus centers on practical applications of:

• Legislative lobbying techniques and government relations
• Public policy formulation and fiscal governance
• Political campaign strategy and electoral analysis

His governmental service includes board membership on the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (where he chairs the board and audit committee) and appointment to the state's Personalized Handgun Authorization Commission.
