Rita Faire is a Lecturer in Publishing & English Studies at the University of Stirling, affiliated with the Division of Literature and Languages. Her research focuses on power structures and dynamics in international publishing, including a forthcoming project on the role of US antitrust lawsuits in shaping the industry. She also investigates the role of the child in political narratives in literature and theorizes girlhood in relation to age and memory.

She served on the programming advisory board for Researchers Exploring Inclusive Youth Literature (REIYL), co-founded the Researcher-Activist Network (RAN), and currently sits on the editorial board of The Literary Platform. She co-hosts the Royal Society of Literature-funded podcast Swift Tea, which explores literary and cultural education through Taylor Swift’s songs.
