Allan Cherie

Allan Cherie is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education & Social Justice at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Her research focuses on postmodernism in children’s literature, digital narratives, and cultural diversity in education. She holds a PhD from QUT (2010) titled Playing with picturebooks: Postmodernism and the postmodernesque.

Her work explores postmodern techniques in picturebooks and digital storytelling, emphasizing their role in shaping cultural understanding and educational practices. Key contributions include analyzing metafictive strategies in postmodern children’s literature and investigating digital curation tools like AustLit for educational purposes.
