Riet Wijnen is a Tutor at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK), The Hague, and also teaches in the Graphic Design and TXT department of the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. Her artistic practice spans sculpture, photograms, text-based works, woodcuts, and experimental type design, focusing on re-examining incomplete histories of abstraction.

Wijnen has participated in residencies at EKWC (2020, 2023) and Rijksakademie (2017-18), and maintains affiliations with both KABK and Gerrit Rietveld Academie. Her work investigates knowledge containers like language and infographics while bridging historical and contemporary artistic practices.
