Bart de Baets (b. Knokke, 1979) is a graphic designer and educator based in Amsterdam, currently teaching at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK) and the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam. His practice focuses on identity design, publication design, and editorial projects for cultural institutions and magazines across Europe. Notable collaborations include designing identities for Kunstverein Langenhagen, Forum architecture magazine, and institutions like The New Institute and De Appel.
Research & Practice Highlights
- Co-created fanzines Dark and Stormy (with Rustan Söderling) and Success and Uncertainty (with Sandra Kassenaar).
- Developed visual identities for clients including Ace & Tate, Paradiso, and the Cobra Museum.
