Richard Stout serves as Lecturer of Trombone and Euphonium at Baldwin Wallace University and holds a faculty position at the Cleveland Institute of Music where he directs brass chamber music. He has been second trombonist of The Cleveland Orchestra since 2000, additionally performing on bass trumpet and euphonium for specialized repertoire.

Stout's performance expertise spans orchestral, chamber, and solo domains with extensive experience in brass quintets, trios, and mixed ensembles. His recent recording "Decreasing Radius" features trombone-piano fantasy pieces performed with pianist Christina Dahl. Career highlights include prior positions with the Jacksonville Symphony, New Haven Symphony, and North Carolina Symphony, plus 12 years of instruction at the Eastern Music Festival.
