Richard Scott is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at Goldsmiths, University of London, specializing in poetry and queer theory. He holds a BMus in Music & Performance (Opera) from the Royal College of Music (2004) and an MA in Creative & Life Writing from Goldsmiths (2012). His research explores queer poetics, ekphrasis, art history, and London's Soho district.
Key publications include Soho (Faber & Faber, 2018), shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize, and Wound (Rialto, 2016), winner of the Michael Marks Poetry Award. His work has been translated into German and French.
