Richard Macve

Richard Macve is a Professor of Accounting at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Department of Accounting and Finance. He holds honorary positions, including Honorary Research Fellow at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Beijing, and Honorary Professor at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Wuhan. His research focuses on accounting history, particularly the historical development of accounting in China, the UK, and the US, as well as conceptual frameworks for financial reporting, insurance accounting, and environmental accounting. His work often explores cross-cultural comparisons and the evolution of accounting practices.
