Yang Zheng

Yang Zheng is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Economics at the Department of Economics, Finance and Entrepreneurship, Aston Business School, Aston University. He also serves as a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Geography & Environment and Grantham Research Institute at the London School of Economics (LSE).

His research focuses on the economics of green technology, climate policy, industrial policy, and policy evaluation, with a particular emphasis on China. He investigates how carbon pricing mechanisms and environmental regulations drive innovation and economic competitiveness, leveraging quasi-experimental designs and firm-level data.

Recent publications analyze knowledge spillovers from green FDI, low-carbon innovation through corporate networks, carbon leakage dynamics, and the interplay between ETS policies and firm innovation. Collaborations with scholars like Jingbo Cui and Junjie Zhang highlight his interdisciplinary approach.
