Professor Filippo Reganati is a Full Professor of Political Economy at the Department of Legal and Economic Studies, Faculty of Law, Sapienza University of Rome. He also serves as Director of the Department and teaches Economics of European Integration at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Wuhan, China.
- Education: Ph.D. in Economics (1998, University of Reading, UK), M.A. in International Economics (1987, University of Reading), and Laurea in Economics and Commerce (1983, University of Catania).
Research Interests focus on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), International Trade Theory, Firm Survival, Environmental Economics, and Economics of Crime. His work explores how multinational enterprises affect domestic economies, the role of technological gaps in spillovers, and the intersection of organized crime with environmental policy.
Scientific Awards include the Francesco Ferrara Thesis Prize with study abroad scholarships from Banco di Sicilia in 1985 and 1986.

Recent Publications analyze EU emissions trading anomalies, organized waste trafficking, FDI impacts on firm survival, and cybersecurity in corporate sustainability. His Grants include work under the Seventh Framework Program on environmental crime and FEMISE-funded research on FDI effects.
