Robert Read

Dr. Robert Read is a Senior Lecturer in International Economics at the University of Lancaster's Department of Economics. His research focuses on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), multinational enterprises, and the economic dynamics of small states. He has contributed to leading journals such as Journal of Business Research and European Urban & Regional Studies. Dr. Read holds a BA in Economics from the University of Essex and a PhD in Economics from the University of Reading.

His teaching includes undergraduate courses like 'Business Economics' and postgraduate modules such as 'Managerial Economics.' He has supervised over 20 PhD students, guiding innovative research in international trade, FDI, and small economy growth strategies. Dr. Read has led research grants from institutions like the World Bank and the Leverhume Trust, examining FDI impacts and small state development.
