Richard Baylis is an Associate Professor and Head of Accounting and Finance at Swansea University's School of Management. He holds a BSc and PhD from Swansea University, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA) since 2020, and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) since 2024. His career includes roles at Cardiff Business School and Cardiff University, focusing on financial reporting, audit practices, and public sector accounting. He serves on the Committee of Departments of Accounting and Finance (CDAF) and as a trustee of the ICAEW Foundation.
