Chris Wiltshire

Chris Wiltshire is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gloucestershire with a distinguished career in accounting and auditing. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA/FCA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) after completing his BA (Hons) in Accountancy (CNAA, 1977). With 15 years of experience in the 'Big 4' firm Ernst & Young (now EY), including a year in the U.S., he brings practical insights to his teaching in financial reporting and tax, combining lectures, tutorials, and case studies. He remains actively engaged in professional practice as co-Principal of a Chartered Accountant firm and delivers CPD courses globally, including a training program on international financial reporting standards in Dubai.

His research focuses on UK and international financial reporting and taxation. He is a Fellow of ICAEW and an Academic Member of the Association of International Accountants (AIA). In 2014, he was nominated for 'Most inspiring lecturer' at the Student Led Staff Awards.
