Richard Leonard-Davies is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Swansea University's Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law. He joined the university in 2007 and specializes in Business Law, Company Law, Employment Law, Property Law, Competition Law, and Professional Legal Practice. He holds an LLB (First Class Honours, Cardiff University, 2002) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (Distinction, Cardiff University, 2003). He was admitted as a solicitor in 2005 after qualifying with Geldards LLP, focusing on Property Finance and Secured Lending.
He leads core modules such as Property Law & Practice on the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and LLM in Professional Legal Practice. He also lectures on Employment Law (LPC elective), Company Law (undergraduate level), and has contributed to LLM programs in Competition Law and Comparative Company Law. In 2022, he became part of the management team overseeing Swansea’s professional legal practice courses.
His career highlights include nominations for prestigious teaching awards and recognition as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2017).
