Richard Holubkov

Richard Holubkov, PhD, is a Professor in Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine, with adjunct appointments in Family & Preventive Medicine and Population Health Sciences. As an applied biostatistician with 25+ years of experience, he specializes in clinical trial design and analysis, particularly in pediatrics and cardiology. He serves as Co-Principal Investigator and Chief Biostatistician for the NICHD Collaborative Pediatric Critical Care Research Network (CPCCRN) Coordinating Center and Director of the Coordinating Center for the NHLBI-funded Hydrocephalus Research Network (HCRN). Holubkov also co-directs the Study Design and Biostatistics Center within the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) and leads statistical efforts for the NHLBI’s Therapeutic Hypothermia after Pediatric Cardiac Arrest (THAPCA) trials.

Current affiliations include leadership roles in the Hydrocephalus Clinical Research Network and Adult Hydrocephalus Clinical Research Network. His statistical expertise shapes protocols for trials in pediatric cardiac arrest, sepsis, and neurosurgical outcomes.
