Richard D. Marsico

Richard D. Marsico is Professor of Law and Director of the Wilf Impact Center for Public Interest Law at New York Law School. He founded The Charter High School for Law and Social Justice in the Bronx and previously served as president of the Mamaroneck School Board.

Education: JD magna cum laude from Harvard Law School (1985), BA summa cum laude from Fordham University (1982).

Research: Focuses on community reinvestment policies, home mortgage lending practices, civil rights law, and education law reform. His scholarship examines how law can promote economic development in underserved communities.

Publications: Author of Democratizing Capital: The History, Law, and Reform of the Community Reinvestment Act and Special Education Law and Practice: Cases and Materials.

Professional Experience: Former attorney at The Legal Aid Society specializing in class action litigation, housing court cases, and tenant association representation. Clerked for Judge Shirley Wohl Kram in SDNY.
