Mariam Hinds is a Clinical Associate Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law and a Supervising Attorney in the Criminal Defense Clinic. Her scholarship focuses on criminal law, criminal procedure, race, and gender, with publications in the Georgetown Law Journal, Stanford Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, and American University Journal of Gender, Social Policy, and the Law. She also teaches clinical pedagogy and has extensive experience in criminal defense and social justice advocacy.

Prior to Fordham, Professor Hinds served as a Practitioner-in-Residence at American University Washington College of Law, overseeing student attorneys in criminal defense cases and expungement petitions. She also worked as a Principal at The Wren Collective and as a supervising attorney at The Bronx Defenders, leading interdisciplinary teams across criminal, family, immigration, and civil courts.
